I have been playing this since the beginning of the summer and it is soley resposible for dropping my hcp by many strokes because I am in the fairway 75-80% of the rounds that I have played. It makes no sense that this setup should work for me (or this is what I was told) until I had it for about 5 minutes on the driving range. I was spending hours in fitting simulators and on all sorts or launch monitors etc but when I got outside the results were always quite different than indoors.

Overall this club is amazing, the sound is quality, the feel is impecable, the looks are stunning, and the small head drives my confidence very high. the carry of this club is awesome, doesnt stop rolling, just carries the ball another 40 yards from where it landed, adding extra yards to drives, which i must say, is fnatstic! the ball flight starts low and rises very high, very penetrating to say the least. i now hit drives as long as 280 yards at only a young age. my god, what a change pattern i have had.
I bought this driver and first thouhgts were take it to the range, so i did! i hit about 100 balls that day with the driver, and was not very pleased, maybe because i had the speeder shaft on at the time, it was very whippy and poor! i changed to a v2 high launch shaft to compensate for the low degree angle. But it will not be my everyday club like my 10.5 YS-6+. But this time I will put a GD YS-7+ stiff to get the ball lower. I havent had a great result like this since when I had the Titleist 975D 8.5 with the EI-70+ shaft. I think that anyone who buys a 905s on ebay and get their shaft on it will get some success. I like the deep face and the pear shape that Titleist is known for. Since it is not as big, I have the confidence to rip at the ball with no control issues. But I would put it against any club at 460cc. I could be wrong, but I saw that on print years ago.Īnyway, this club is only 400cc. Its also a course designed by the Mckenzie dude that built Augusta National Masters golf course. There is a 30 foot levy on the 16th hole. My favorite course is in Pacifica,CA called Sharp Park. I believe that most of the courses here are below sea level. The air is moist and wind is always a factor regardless of the year. I live in the west coast of Northern California. I average about 240-260 yards with the club. Now, instead of getting upset at the tee box over hooks and snap hooks, I get upset if I cant hit a draw or a high cut. The loft on the ball flight is fairly high, but not ridiculously high. But I do get the same results with range balls. A strongly believe that you can achieve just as much distance with a 10.5 with much more forgiveness and less exposure to side spin. The total cost was a $185 investment.I have had problems in the past regarding side spin with lower lofted club faces of 9.5 or 8.5. He gave me a red Golf Pride Tour Velvet Cord grip.
